Everything and the kitchen sink

December 3rd, 2007

Returning after two days of retreat. Crumbs, mud, dog hair, mail, laundry, trash, stacks, cracks and someone else’s dishes. But my oh my, look at the view from my kitchen sink.

Eyes wide open, I’m home again.

  3. OK — I’m jealous. I don’t care what you say about jealousy or wanting what we have or just being happy with now. I’m jealous!

  4. Trust your life as it unfolds, Shawn. One day you’ll end up with a sink full of dirty dishes and everything else. I know you will.

(I want to stare at this photo all day, it makes me feel so peaceful.)

  6. What a beautiful garden, and framed so nicely in the picture window. I’m with Shawn, dirty dishes or not. I guess I’ll have to put up some pictures of my view so I can let you enjoy yours.

  7. Welcome home, I don’t think I would ever leave that table. Is there really nothing on your table???? It’s that whole simplicity thing, isn’t it?

  12. It’s no wonder you are so centered. What a lovely view — thank you for sharing it with us. I shall use it as a bit of a visual mantra the next time I have to look at my neighbor’s peeling paint.
