Well – apparently I missed a whole lot of reading this summer. And I did a whole lot of nothing – fussing about nothing, worrying about nothing, stressing about nothing. Wasted energy for nothing.
You know I love your blog – thanks for the catching me up. The thing I love best about you? You’re human. Wonderfully human. :o)

I lost about 20 pounds, took up cyceling, learned to cook more healthy food, let go off my need to control my husband, volunteered for bulldog rescue in my area and actually took on a volunteer advocate position for a child in the court system. I went to the beach four times, had a pic nic twice and took a week to tour my home town of Chicago. All in all the summer was pretty darn great this year.

i love the positive way you talk about something ‘negative.’ i never knew giving up could be so freeing. thank you for the spin. its almost as if you have given me permission to do the same.

Hi Karen. Love the surrender. I’m a little behind on my reading but I did see the giveaway of some “Loving Kindness.” I would love to enter the kind giveaway but something’s up with the comment section there. Anyhoo and either way (surrender) I hope you have an excellent weekend. Or not. 😉

It’s winter here but we still had a vacation of sorts. I tried to give up comparing home and away, here and there. I’m still working on it.

I am laughing so hard right now. I just posted a very earnest post about how I am going to learn to manage my money. And then I read this. Love it. You always help me to see the futility in my crazy resolutions 🙂 oh, and i would answer your question but you already know!

I am giving up taking care of others. (No children will be harmed by this.)
