flagwaving

July 5th, 2010

If you’ve read Hand Wash Cold or Momma Zen, unfurl your colors. Go to Amazon or Goodreads and enter a new rating or a review for either or both books, then come back here and leave me a comment telling me so. At the end of the week I’ll draw a winner from the comments here to receive two free signed copies. So you can have your flag and wave it too.

Edited to add: Winners of this giveaway are Shana and Jim. But the commenters have already given me the grand prize. Thank you, everyone!

  2. I just arrived here after leaving my review on goodreads for Momma Zen. I had written a partial review months ago, when I has 1/2 way through. I’ve reread it numerous times since, and will again I know. Thank you so much for putting your experience and insights in writing. I can’t express what a gift it has been to read while I am home full-time with three little boys!

  4. Alright Karen, I’ll bite once again. [laugh] We sure could use a copy of “Hand Wash Cold” here in Mongolia – I can guarantee it will probably be the only copy in Asia, or at least in Mongolia. You know I loved ‘Momma Zen’ that is why I’m so keen on getting this new one. Thanks again for putting all the effort and work into these because there are literally thousands of us out there who have been inspired and/or helped by them. Have a good summer….Jim

  6. Dear Karen,
At first, I found Hand Wash Cold difficult to read. In fact, I started to read it then, left on the table for a few days (or weeks?) then, picked it up again and started right from the beginning. I realized while I was NOT reading it I was doing exactly what it says to do just follow instructions, they are right in front of you. And, as I discovered, they are. This has been a wonderful realization. Now, I ‘meditate’ while doing the dishes, cleaning the floor, and doing the laundry.

  7. Hi Karen:

I just reviewed Momma Zen for Amazon, and I had reviewed it on Goodreads shortly after finishing it. I will eventually discuss it in my blog, too! I loved the book and would love my own copy. I have to return the interlibrary loan copy today!

  8. I loved Momma Zen, and added a review to Amazon (K. Walck). It was so inspiring, to say the least. I’m looking forward to reading Hand Wash Cold too. I added both books to the Amazon widget on my blog.
