everyday ingredients

May 12th, 2010

I’m so happy to see an excerpt of Hand Wash Cold posted at Shutter Sisters today as part of their May “One Word Project.” Their inspirational word for this month is one I can’t help but love: Everyday. Visit the site and leave a comment for a chance to win a signed copy of the book. As an enticement, here is a taste of an audio excerpt using the same ingredients. Just click on the link and let the mp3 download and play. Savor and share it!

  1. Karen,
I am looking forward to meeting you tomorrow at my friends house as part of your kitchen table tour.
We read a little of your book while camping last weekend with our husbands and boys. Thank you for your words that can ring true to not just motherhood but to family life and living in general.

    be well-

  2. Thank you so much for this post. What a delightful thought, just take time to enjoy the little things in life. So profound and so true. We all seem to go too fast and do too many things in life. Sit down, drink coffee outside and listen to the birds, take a walk, do the dishes, all things of beauty.

    Thank you!
