  1. I swear, Karen, it took me a moment to even figure out what those things were.

  2. If you buy the whole set do you think they would throw in the lotus flower and tray of stones for free??

  3. Hmm – interesting.

  8. I did a swing from “OMG, that’s hilarious!” to “This is a depressing state of affairs.” How gross to have so many companies trying to cash in on the marketing trend of your spiritual path. As a recovering Evangelical, I guess I should be used to it by now given the parallel Christian Culture crap. It just never stops feeling wrong–the marriage of faith and commerce.

  9. Jen, I agree the marriage of commerce and anything feels wrong. And I don’t object to making money, I just have a hard time taking this seriously when it is so ugly.

Wendy, don’t worry, I’m laughing all the way. I already sold my soul to Fisher Price in the first three years of you-know-who. And by “sold” I mean “spent.” Now I can relax and let my daughter’s income from art support us.

  10. I am with you jen lee. funny but good grief, is there nothing ‘they’ won’t package and market!

however, they could at least make it more attractive since they are selling it for a bundle.

  12. Wow – yuck!
The tray of stones, lotus and bonsai *on the floor* are cracking me up. It’s like three ways for your baby to find his/her way to the emergency room if looking at this collection at home causes too much suffering…

  16. If they really want to make this work, they should have a furniture set for every stage to enlightenment. They could use the colors of the chakras (hope I spelled that right) and perhaps having parenting advice booklets to guide the way.

Yep. I can see it all. Order yours today.

  17. You Have Got To Be Kidding Me. This is genius.

If only I had had this set when my kids were little, THEN they would’ve slept through the night, never been cranky, never spilled food everywhere, etc. etc. etc.

Do they make them in adult sizes, as well?

  20. Hysterical. Seems like it should be a joke…but then I realized, it is real. Even a video … and that audio is oh, sooooo cheesy. WOw.

Someone at an agency thought of that idea, pitched it to the company, EVERYONE approved it, they designed it, manufactured it, and even made a video with audio…Now THAT is somethin’ else.

  24. I’m sure if I spend more money, my child can reach enlightenment sitting in his baby seat. As it is, he fusses to be picked up and held after a while. Silly baby. What good is being picked up? If I paid more, I am sure he would like to sit there all day, right?

    LOL. Thanks for the laughs.
